We cut it into sections, we do not drop it

Dropping a tree is the fast way. It is also the way a fence rail splits, a raised bed gets flattened and a lawn ends up rutted where a sixty foot fir landed on it. So on most of the properties we work on, the tree comes down in sections. A climber or the bucket takes the top out first, then the spar goes down in lengths that land where we put them. It takes longer and it is the safe option, and it is the reason the ground underneath still looks like a garden afterwards.

It also means there is far more debris than most people expect. One mature broadleaf fills a trailer several times over. We plan for that before we start, so the brush goes through the chipper as it comes off, the wood is cut and stacked or hauled away, and the last job of the day is raking the ground out. Most jobs run one to two days from the first cut to the last rake.

We're not just here to cut it down. We take the time to understand what you need, explain how we're going to do it safely, and cut the tree into sections instead of just dropping it. We're honest about what needs to be done and we want to leave your property better than we found it.

What we do

Thirteen services across three lines of work. Tree work is the front of the business and the reason most people call. The landscaping and the lawn care came first, which is why the same crew can put the yard back together once the tree is gone.

What our customers say

This family owned business was amazing. The work they did was hard and grueling but they worked as a team and with skill to complete this task with agility and precision. This was a 15 year old curly willow which has gnarled limbs that made it extremely difficult.I highly recommend them for anyone needing tree removal. I believe them to be hardworking at anything they do, honesty and integrity with respect for our property.

Debra H.

Very happy with their work and response. Same day estimate and completed within the week. They made short work of a difficult job. Thank you guys!!

James M.

I had trees topped, dead stuff cut out and thinned excellent job They did good job cleaning up especially since I had bark dust spread a couple weeks ago. Would recommend!

Shirley G.

They did an outstanding job and exceeded my expectations. Throughout the project, they maintained excellent communication, listened carefully to my requests, and made sure everything was completed exactly as I wanted.

A family business in Albany, started by Adan's father and run by the family today.

A family company, and the paperwork to match

Adan's father started doing landscape work in this valley long before there was a company name on anything. Willamette Landscaping & Tree Services was registered as an Oregon LLC in 2020, and it is still the family running it. Adan Solis Medina takes the calls, walks the estimates and is on the job.

The crew is in house. Nobody is subcontracted in for the day, which is why the person who quoted the work is the person who turns up to do it, and why a question asked on the estimate gets the same answer on the job.

Linn and Benton County

Where we work

Albany is home. From there we cover Corvallis, Lebanon, Sweet Home, Salem, Jefferson, Tangent, Halsey, Shedd, Crabtree and Scio, and the Linn and Benton County country in between. If your address is not on the list, call anyway and we will tell you honestly whether it is a sensible drive.

Questions people ask us

Are your estimates really free?

Yes, and there is no obligation attached to one. We come to the property, walk it with you, look at the tree, the access and what is underneath it, and write the job up. It usually takes about fifteen minutes. Most jobs are quoted the same day we look.

Can you give me a number over the phone?

Every tree is different, so we do not give blind numbers. We offer free estimates. Just provide us with the property address and we can take a look and provide you with a free estimate. What decides a tree job is rarely the tree on its own. It is the lean, the access, how close a chipper can get and what is sitting underneath it, and none of that reads over a phone.

Are you licensed, bonded and insured?

Yes, we're licensed, bonded, and insured. We are licensed with the Oregon Landscape Contractors Board under LCB #100776, we carry one million dollars of general liability coverage, and we hold a twenty thousand dollar contractor bond. Look the licence number up with the board and you will find us.

Do I need a permit?

Permits depend on the property. Some sites and some jurisdictions in this valley regulate certain trees and some do not touch an ordinary yard tree at all. We tell you what we believe applies to your property at the estimate. What we will not do is take a tree out that needs a permit before one is in place.

Do you guarantee your workmanship?

We guarantee our workmanship. If there's an issue caused by the work we performed, we'll come back and make it right. This guarantee does not cover damage caused by weather, falling trees/branches, pests, disease, or other conditions outside of our control.

Why does taking a tree down piece by piece take longer?

Because you are paying for safety, planning, equipment, cleanup and protecting the property, not for a tree hitting the ground. Sectioning a tree is the safe option and it takes longer than dropping it. It is also the difference between a lawn you can walk on the next morning and one that has a trench in it.
